 If any items in your order are out of stock or require additional lead time, we will notify you via email within 1-2 business days. Orders containing multiple product types may require additional processing time if consolidated into a single shipment.

2. Estimated Delivery Time

Transit time begins once your order has been dispatched. Your total turnaround = Processing Time + Transit Time. All times below are door-to-door estimates inclusive of customs clearance.

Delays caused by customs clearance, carrier disruptions, peak seasons, natural disasters, strikes, public health emergencies, or other force majeure events do not constitute a breach of contract by Foremost Hat.

 For in-stock items shipped from local warehouses, delivery is significantly faster as goods are already positioned in your region - no international transit or customs clearance required.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs vary by order weight, dimensions, shipping method, and destination. A detailed freight quote will be provided alongside your order quotation.

We support all major international trade terms (Incoterms) including EXW, FOB, CIF, and DDP - the applicable term and associated costs will be confirmed in your quotation.

4. Shipment Tracking

 Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and carrier details.

  • Tracking information may take 1-2 business days to become active after dispatch.
  • For express shipments (DHL/UPS/FedEx), real-time tracking is available directly on the carrier's website.
  • For sea freight, we provide the Bill of Lading (B/L) and periodic status updates at key milestones.

Your account manager will proactively communicate shipment progress, including departure confirmation, customs clearance status, and estimated arrival updates.

Please note: certain carriers (e.g., USPS for US-bound packages) may only update tracking once the package reaches the destination sorting center.

5. Address Errors

It is the buyer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at the time of order confirmation.

  • Before dispatch: Contact us immediately via email to request an address change at no cost.
  • After dispatch: Address modifications are subject to carrier re-routing fees, which will be borne by the buyer. We cannot guarantee that changes will be possible once the shipment is in transit.
  • Returned packages: Shipments returned to us due to incorrect or incomplete address information may be re-shipped at the buyer's expense.

Foremost Hat is not responsible for delays, losses, or additional costs arising from address errors provided by the buyer.

6. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees levied by the destination country's customs authority.

Responsibility by Trade Terms

  • EXW / FOB / CIF: All import duties, taxes, VAT, and customs clearance fees are the buyer's responsibility.
  • DDP: Duties and applicable taxes are included in the quoted price. For shipments from China under DDP terms, VAT is prepaid - no additional charges will be collected at the border.

Documentation We Provide

To facilitate smooth customs clearance, we supply all required export documents including:

  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Certificate of origin (CO / Form A / Form E as applicable)
  • Compliance and test certificates where required

Customs processing times vary by country and are beyond our control. We recommend consulting your local customs authority for applicable duty rates on headwear products (common HS codes: 6505, 6506). Buyers must ensure accurate VAT registration details are provided to avoid delays.

7. Delays, Lost Packages & Non-Delivery

Shipping Delays

While we make every effort to meet estimated delivery windows, transit times are not guaranteed. Foremost Hat shall not be held liable for delays caused by carrier disruptions, customs inspections, severe weather, port congestion, public health emergencies, strikes, or any other force majeure events. We will keep you informed and work proactively with the carrier to minimize impact.

Lost or Missing Packages

  • If tracking shows no movement for an extended period, please contact us with your order number.
  • Claims for lost packages must be filed within 7 days of the estimated delivery date.
  • We will initiate a formal investigation with the carrier. If the package is confirmed lost, we will arrange a replacement shipment or issue a refund based on your preference and the applicable trade terms.

Damaged Goods

  • Inspect your shipment upon receipt. If goods arrive damaged, document the damage with clear photographs.
  • Notify us within 5 days of delivery with your order number and photographic evidence.
  • We will work with the carrier and/or insurance provider to resolve the matter - either through replacement or refund.

Risk of Loss

Unless DDP terms apply, risk of loss or damage transfers to the buyer once the goods are handed over to the carrier at the point of origin.
